The Master of Education Programme is meant for candidate desirous of pursuing post-graduate+ in education. Besides preparing teachers educators, it also aims at preparing educational administrators, supervisors and researchers. The M.Ed. programme would comprise theoretical courses including specialized courses in the discipline of education and related practical/filed work including exposure to and training in a teacher education institution. In addition research work in the form of a dissertation would form an essential part of the programme. The programme provided opportunities for students to extend as well as deepen their knowledge and understanding of education, specialize in selected areas including Teacher Education and also acquire research skills.

The M.Ed. programme shall be of duration of one academic year.

There shall be at least 200 working days exclusive of periods of examination and admission etc., for instruction, filed work for dissertation and internship in a teacher education institution.

Candidates who have obtained at least 55% marks in the B.Ed degree are eligible for admission.

Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government and the University.

The institutions charges fees as per the prescribed guidelines and regulations of the University.

There is a Library which is equipped with nearly two thousand titles besides text and reference books related to all course of study, educational encyclopedias, electronic publication, professional research journals. The library also has facility of Wi-Fi connectivity and a photocopier for the use of the students.

There is a psychology laboratory with the equipments for performing experiments listed in the curriculum.
